Polska Eire Festival 2017 in Cork - Wystawa fotograficzna ,,Miłość nie pyta o paszport’’

Serdecznie zapraszamy!

Irish-Polish couples wanted!
When talking about Polish emigration into Ireland in search of a new, better life, we usually focus on the economic aspect of it, but for many a new life in Ireland involves falling in love. For many it is the main reason to stay. Does love ask for a passport?
We all know disadvantages of emigration: separation from family home, often a life partner, which can be a reason for loneliness, unhappiness, divorce etc. However, this is only one side of the coin. The other one is hopes for a more balanced life, new friendships, dreams of a girl with misty eyes, long curly hair, sunny disposition…
What attracts us in our diversity?
What makes Polish-Irish couples decide to be together? What are the cultural differences and how do they affect mutual chemistry?
We are going to take a look at this phenomenon with the help of the camera’s eye.
We are currently looking for Irish-Polish couples to participate in this exciting project.
Whether you fell head over heels in love yourself or you know someone who’s in a mixed-nationality (Polish-Irish) relationship, do let us know. Spread the word: like and share this post and tag your friends who might be interested.

Great Craic at Table Quiz

A great night was had on Friday 31st March at the Market Tavern with Together-Razem members and friends competing at a Table Quiz. All the multinational teams challenged their brains trying to answer tricky questions such as: “In which American state is a single woman not allowed to skydive on a Sunday?” Or “In which Irish county is it forbidden to wear a Kilkenny jersey?” Two teams with most correct answers were awarded joint first prize and some sweet treats. The quiz was followed by an exciting raffle with spot prizes, and live traditional Irish music. Our next Table Quiz will be held on Friday 2nd June as part of Polska-Eire Festival. All very welcome to attend!
