Polish for Foreigners

Whether for their  loved ones, friends or simply out of curiosity or passion for unusual languages there are more and more people interested in learning Polish. Here at Together- Razem we provide Polish language course.
 
There are different reasons why you should learn Polish: 
1. It can help you communicate with your Polish friends or partners and their family. You will also be able to understand their culture better. 
2. Like any other foreign language it will broaden your career opportunities, especially now that Ireland has more links with Poland.
3. Polish is unique – you will learn something new and different that not many people know. Don’t worry, it is not as difficult as you think ;)
 
 
There are two options available:
 
1. A 10 - weeks long group course beginners – Cost: 100€*
 
 You will learn how to talk about yourself and your hobbies, describe your day-to-day activities and have a simple conversation with your Polish friends. The following are some of the topics we will talk about: 
1. Greetings, pronunciation
2. Numbers, first conjugation verbs
3. Describing people and their character
4. Nationalities, professions, second conjugation verbs
5. Family, age
6. Hobbies and interests
7. Food, prices 
8. Day-to-day activities, days of the week, some reflexive verbs
9. Clothes, colours, idioms
10.  Months, past tense 
 
 
2. Individual classes at all levels  for those who prefer 1-to-1 classes adapted to their level and learning pace. They will also be organized in blocks of 10 classes. Cost: 300€.

We are pleased to announce that bookings are now being taken for a Polish language course. All nationalities welcome!
The course is aimed at introducing participants to the basics of Polish, including vocabulary and phrases that might prove handy whether you are planning a city break, business trip or meeting your in-laws in Poland! Friendly, stress-free atmosphere and professional tuition guaranteed.
Cost is only € 100 for a 10-week course.They are held on Fridays between 5-6 PM, at "Together-Razem Centre", 17 George's Quay in Cork City.
To enrol please download enrolment form below, drop to our office at 17 George's Quay or send by email  and pay fee at the Centre or by bank transfer.

Polish for foreigners is back at Together- Razem! We will continue our Polish classes and courses from September. This time we have two options on offer: 
1. A 10 - weeks long group course starting on 15th September – next level for those who finished our basic Polish course or those who already studied Polish and would like to learn more. The course will take place every Tuesday at 9.00pm. Cost: 100€
 
2. Individual classes at all levels starting on 15th September – for those who prefer 1- to- 1 classes adapted to their level and learning pace. They will also be organized in blocks of 10 classes and will take place on Mondays and Thursdays after 6pm. Cost: 300€.  
 
Please take our placement test so that we can determine your level.

POLISH LANGUAGE COURSE for FOREIGNERS
We are delighted to announce that we are now open for bookings for our Polish Language Course. 
This 10-week course is addressed to people of different nationalities interested in polish language. 
It will introduce participants to basic vocabulary and conversational expressions which are commonly used in everyday situations. Join our classes and learn to speak polish in a pleasant and friendly atmosphere. 
The course will begin on April 12 and the classes will be held on Saturdays, 4-5 p.m.
at Together-Razem Centre.

W czwartek, 2 maja 2013 roku zakończył się w "Together-Razem" pierwszy kurs języka polskiego dla obcokrajowców. Miłośnicy polszczyzny spotykali się co tydzień przez 10 tygodni na godzinnych zajęciach nastawionych na praktyczną naukę naszego języka. 

Pierwsze zajęcia służyły zapoznaniu się z polskim alfabetem, a w szczególności z wymową dźwięków takich jak ć, dź, ą, ę itd. typowych dla naszego języka, a tak trudnych do wymówienia dla obcokrajowca. Wspólnie z nauczycielem uczestnicy kursu znaleźli angielskie wyrazy, które zawierają podobne dźwięki do polskich, co znacznie ułatwiło ich przyswajanie (np. polskie "ą" przypomina pierwszy dźwięk w angielskim wyrazie "own"- posiadać).

Z radością informujemy, iż w "Together-Razem" trwają zapisy na pierwszy kurs języka polskiego dla obcokrajowców ! Uczestnicy kursu będą mieli okazję poznać podstawowe słownictwo oraz zwroty, które mogą się okazać przydatne zarówno podczas krótkiego pobytu turystycznego w Polsce, jak i w rozmowie z przyszłymi teściami!:-)

PolskaEire Festival launch in Cork
The 2017 PolskaEire Festival in Cork has been successfully launched at Heron House, at the Blackpool Shopping Center & Retail Park. Lord Mayor Cllr. Des Cahill was on the site to officially launch the festival. Other speakers were: David Stanton TD, Minister of State for Justice with special responsibility for Equality, Immigration, and Integration, and Piotr Rakowski - First Advisor, Head of Political and Economic Section; Political and European integration, Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Dublin. Great musical performance by Natalia Bakula (violin). At the opening we saw a specially prepared photo exhibition by Krzysztof Rosa - "Love doesn’t ask for a passport". Seamus Kirkpatrick from UCC delivered speech about love in Art.
The Craic was dobry again in Cork! Big thank you to Blackpool Shopping Centre & Retail Park for hosting the event!

New office opening

Together-Razem Centre has moved to a new location and on the 18th May 2017 we have officially opened our new office at Kilnap Business Park with Ambassador of Poland HE Ryszard Sarkowicz, Deputy Lord Mayor Cllr Joe Kavanagh and other members of Polish & Irish community. It was a very special today with warms wishes and on behalf od the Board of Directors we would like to say big thank you to all our friends and supporter for being with us that day.

The exhibition ‘‘Love doesn’t ask for a passport’’

Another great event as a part of PolskaEire Festival in Cork. Opening of the exhibition ‘‘Love doesn’t ask for a passport’’! As part of the 2017 PolskaÉire Festival Krzysztof Rosa has created ten large scale photographic works depicting couples who met each other and found love after moving to Ireland.Thank you to the couples for being a part of the exhibition! Big thank you Triskel Arts Centre for hosting the event! The exhibition is open from Tuesday 30 May to Saturday 3 June. All welcome
